How do I get started?
We can’t wait to meet you and your pup! The best way to start is with a 30-minute "Meet & Greet" consultation for just $20.
This is a special time for our trainers to observe your dog’s natural behavior and personality in our environment. It’s also a chance for us to sit down and truly listen to your training goals, as well as any lifestyle limitations you might have. We know every family is different, so we use this time to create a plan that isn't just effective for your dog, but manageable and realistic for you, too!
What makes you different?
Our founders, Susan and Madeline, spent years working alongside a service dog foundation for veterans. Our hearts are in service dog training! Our background taught us something vital: dogs are happiest when they know how to navigate the world with confidence. Our unique style focuses on teaching dogs to think for themselves. Instead of just following orders, your dog will learn how to make great choices on their own, creating a bond of trust and a much calmer life at home.
That high-level, technical background is the foundation of everything we do. Unlike traditional "daycare" facilities that focus solely on play, we emphasize enrichment and structured learning. Our campus is a clean, renovated environment where your dog’s mental health and behavior are just as important as their physical exercise.
What exactly is Day Academy?
Think of it as the ultimate school day for your dog! Unlike a busy daycare where dogs can get a bit over-stimulated, our Day Academy is structured and peaceful. We offer Standard and Premium tiers where your dog enjoys supervised play mixed with learning. They’ll work on social manners and household boundaries, coming home not just tired, but happy and "brain-drained" in the best way possible!
Can you help my dog with behavior problems?
Of course! We love helping dogs work through the tough stuff. Whether your dog struggles with over-excitement, reactivity, fearfulness, or anxiety, we are here to help. We focus on building your dog's confidence and helping them find their "inner calm," so they can move through the world without feeling overwhelmed.
Where can I find you?
We are located at 203 Nile Kinnick Dr S, Adel, IA 50003. When you arrive, just head around to the back of the building. You’ll see our friendly bright blue door with our yellow logo—that’s where the fun happens!
